Based on the problems that arise because of climate change, such as floods, fires, glacial decline, and avalanches, a study was proposed to build knowledge and skills in the four civil engineering courses of the Minuto de Dios-UNIMINUTO University Corporation, in Zipaquirá, during one semester. The study was conducted using the qualitative method with an educational action approach and an intentional sample. The findings showed that the students’ initial knowledge on the subject was scarce and indifferent to their understanding of the problem. However, the students were seen to be committed following exposure to the theory and practice of education for sustainable development based on the sustainable development goals as well as on the knowledge that the students established and the skills that they developed.
