During recent decades, phrases alluding to the practice of textiles have gained relevance in political discourse. However, the metaphorical use of such fundamental knowledge, essential to being human, covers highly relevant conceptual issues. The work herein seeks to glimpse, through an anthropological framework, the textile knowledge wherein reside, in the very metonymy of our fleetingness, the keys that envelop our history.
