The present work discusses the disadvantaged condition in which egg producers in the department of Nariño find themselves. This disadvantage; is discussed from two effects. The first effect is a less efficient cost structure than its main internal competitor; and the second is the importance of the price of the dollar and the proximity to a foreign competitor.
