Agropecuaria del Progreso belongs to the palm platform, of the Progreso group, known for its long history of sugar milling in Valle del Cauca, Colombia. It has palm crops and biodiesel processing in the Eastern Plains of Colombia (Montes, 2020). Its activities are focused on palm cultivation, extraction of crude palm oil, processing of biodiesel and its derivatives such as glycerin, palm kernel and palm kernel oil. The above are products that are used to make animal feed and the cosmetic industry. For these activities, it must have a workforce, which mostly comes from different regions of the country, coming to the area and demanding goods and services, especially those related to housing issues. The supply of government housing programs is very scarce in this region of the country. Now, in order to minimize the social impacts that the company generated in the area with its operation, it decided to create the Corporate Social Responsibility Area (CSR), proposed by Sarmiento (2011), as those commitments and obligations assumed by individuals and companies socially in order to contribute well-being and eliminate risks for communities. Agropecuaria del Progreso had a focus on managing the concerns of its stakeholders, at that time the most important were its employees, the need for decent housing to stabilize the workforce in the territory was one of the biggest concerns. of workers, in this way, people would not have to make large transfers, which in most cases affected the rates of attraction and retention of personnel. Bernal (2018), suggests that it is important in the search for housing or relocation of personnel, to take into account accessibility, social integration, sustainable production and connectivity, thus contributing to the labor and social well-being of people. In 2008, the strike of sugarcane cutters occurred, which triggered great damages for the company, since it is part of the sugar mills. The claims of the cutters were focused especially on the lack of CSR in the organizations, which generated concern in Agropecuaria del Progreso, for which the General Management requested to hire a professional with experience in social and community development issues. After arduous selection processes, a professional is hired as head of the CSR Area, whose name is Karoline, she was hired as head of the Corporate Social Responsibility Area, her main objective was to design projects designed to respond to concerns, related with decent housing, which is one of the seventeen sustainable development goals (Vives, 2019). After her hiring, Karoline's ideas were listened to by the Management, but at the same time resisted, since she considered that the main responsible for the fulfillment of this Sustainable Development Goal should not be the company, but should be the Municipal Mayor's Office. San Carlos de Guaroa, where the company was located; providing arguments related to budgets or current regulations. In this sense, it is necessary to clarify that Agro Progreso is a company that complied with its taxation, standing out in the sector because it always complied with current regulations, however, the construction of housing was not the objective of its operation, for what it considers one of the duties of the state. Due to the above, Karoline, in her new position, demonstrated to the General Management, from the framework of Corporate Social Responsibility, why the company should execute the housing project, which became the letter of introduction of the new area of the organization. In the different boards and meetings that were held with the General Management, questions related to the housing project arose, which throughout the case can be broken down, these were: • Is it important that the housing project be the cover letter of the Corporate Social Responsibility Area? How does the above contribute to the improvement of territories where there is a low presence of local governments? • How to respond to the concerns of the workers, understood as a group of interest that the company has, but which is not a common issue within its corporate purpose? • How to unite the needs or social demands of the different interest groups of the territories (especially the workers), with the interests of the c
