She holds a Master of Science in Social Policy Research from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Currently, she is Regional Coordinator of the Gender, Justice and Security Hub at Universidad de los Andes (Colombia), Lecturer at Universidad del Rosario and Universidad de los Andes and Participation Project Coordinator of the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies from University of Notre Dame. She was the Gender Coordinator of the NGO Electoral Observation Mission in Colombia. Her research focuses on gender, peacebuilding, women's political participation, violence against women in politics, political reforms, and gender mainstreaming in post-conflict policies.
