The learning method in engineering degrees has undergone a very significant change since the implementation of what has been called the Bologna Plan. With it, the realization of engineering works or projects has been a way to acquire the specific skills of each subject. However, carrying out excessively technical or complex work can greatly hinder student learning, sometimes assuming a barrier in the learning process. This work proposes a different approach when presenting the context in which the projects are framed. In this case, a project definition is addressed in which a series of contextualized challenges are proposed in an escape room type activity, to motivate students and encourage their participation, all without neglecting the technical concepts that would be an obstacle using other procedures. The methodology was applied in the 3rd year of the Degree in Industrial Electronics and Automatic Engineering, obtaining satisfactory performance rates.
