Diagnosis makes it possible to gather and analyse the most important information of a production system and thus identify weaknesses and strengths. Correctly diagnosing the different pathologies in production systems makes it possible to safeguard animal welfare and thus achieve higher productivity (Marquínez 2020; Ortiz Galvis & Hoyos-Patiño, 2023). Making a diagnosis at the farm level allows for the adjustment of improvement plans that help to correct the shortcomings found and thus optimise the production process.
