The objective of this work is to analyze and reflect on well-being and happiness in the school and work environments, to determine the relationship between the vocational guidance that is provided to students before entering the university, it is approached from the theoretical perspective of the positive psychology, taking into account the experience of the Center for Research, Diagnosis and Development of Talents (CIDDT) of Mexico with its users, in order to provide some guidelines to look at vocational and professional guidance from a more current perspective, focused not only in the cognitive intelligence and the areas of interest of the student as it has been doing since always, but considering all human strengths.This approach focuses on personal strengths, that is, it takes into account the accumulation of positive characteristics such as virtues, strengths, abilities, gifts, talents, knowledge, experiences, and positive emotions inherent to the person, and how these internal factors impact positively in their performance in the academic and work environment, helping to generate constant states of well-being and happiness.
