This investigation was realized fundamentally, in order to contribute to generate information that offers material relative to the state of the current situation around the problem object of study: "Disarticulation of the dimensions that determine the development of the agricultural sector of the Municipality of The Uvita-Boyacá: community, production, knowledge and power; what previously exposed, owed mainly because there is not an agreement of wills concerted between the different actors involved in achieving the competitiveness of this sector; limiting the structuring of politics, plans, programs, projects and long-term strategies ¿How to articulate the dimensions that determine the development of the agricultural sector of the Municipality of The Uvita, Boyacá?"So that actors of these dimensions then take relevant decisions (strategic, tactics and operational) and of a nature of social responsibility; on based, to the results found, providing environmental sustainability, economic sustainability, governability, competitiveness and equity of the local and rural surroundings.There were executed the following methodological stages of the prospective strategic planning: change factor selection workshop, DOFA matrix strategic analysis method (Weaknesses, Opportunities, Strengths, and Threats); precision workshop of the keys variables, method Abacus of François Regnier, software Microsoft Excel [xls] spreadsheet enabled for macros -Abacus Regnier version 4-0; actors strategy workshop, method MACTOR (Method, Actors, Objectives, Force Results), software MACTOR; scenario design workshop, method cross of scenario of Peter Schwartz; election of strategies workshop, method MULTIPOL (Multiples Criterions and Politics) and the design of the prospective and strategic plan, strategic deployment method, PESTEXPRESS software Strategic Plan Express version 2014.The results of the investigation made possible: to approve the problem, the alternative hypothesis (HA) and/or the nullity hypothesis (H0), the objectives of the investigation; and design the prospective and strategic plan that allows to achieve the scenario bet 2040 for the agricultural sector of the Municipality of The Uvita-Boyacá, through the application of the strategic prospective model-strategic deployment method.
