The objective of this research was to determine the impact of agricultural production, specifically beekeeping, on the economic and social development of beekeepers in the vereda Corralejas, as well as to design the strategies and action plan to encourage associativity and participation.The diagnosis is presented, from a mixed approach methodology, applying quantitative and qualitative analysis and an explorative, descriptive, and observational approach, as well as the strategies and action plan for the producers of the vereda Corralejas in Sotará.The methodology used included a consultation with the inhabitants and beekeepers of the region.The instruments used were the survey and the interview.The population was 374 inhabitants, with a sample of 190 people to whom the survey was applied and later, the application of an-interview to the beekeepers was carried out, making field notes and photographic record.According to the information analyzed, the incidence and impact of beekeeping in the economic, social, and environmental sector is evident, taking into account that it contributes to the improvement of the quality of life of those who work in this subsector.The results of the diagnosis were shared with the agricultural community of La vereda Corralejas, where the benefits of beekeeping were ratified and SWOT strategies, action plan and means of execution were built, such as the formation of the Beekeepers Association, a product of this research project in the Municipality of Sotará-vereda Corralejas.
