This article was carried out in a company that distributes and markets electrical energy to generate a proposal for improvement in the process of cutting and suspending energy. The DMAIC methodology was established by applying its five phases: define, measure, analyze, improve, control; identifying that the productivity indicator of execution of cutting and suspension was 68%, which does not meet the projection and a CP of 0.88 was found, which is below the adequate capacity for the process. It was analyzed that the main cause of the non-conformities related to the non-compliance with the process is the time that the brigade members spend in the displacement towards the development of their activities since there are no clear routes and a planning that takes into account the distances and proximity. of the points to visit. Three proposals for improvement were proposed: Establish location maps for the routing of activities according to the assignments of each technician, elimination of idle time for technicians by applying The Heijunk operating philosophy, optimization of operation routes.
