In order to investigate the experience of women in the Asian scenario of the Second World War (1939-1945), the general objective of the research is to analyze the role of comfort women in the war scenario; and as specific objectives of (i) characterizing the role of these women in the Japanese security strategy; (ii) describe the concepts of militarized prostitution, militarized rape and comfort women; and (iii) identify the factors responsible for the creation of comfort women. The first section presents a feminist theoretical contribution on the role of women in war scenarios. In the second, the concepts of militarized prostitution and comfort women are worked on. The third presents the historical context regarding the development of this war practice. In the end, comfort women is configured as a war practice adopted by the Japanese state that regulates the conduct of its armed forces.
