INTRODUCTION:Deficiencies resulting from infection can result in fatigue, dyspnea, tachycardia, muscle atrophy and decreased functional capacity.Shortly after hospital discharge, patients who have recovered from respiratory problems will require additional rehabilitation.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the physiotherapeutic protocols used in persistent sequelae in post-COVID-19 patients.METHODOLOGY: This is an integrative review characterized by a systematic, ordered and secondary methodological approach, with investigation of primary studies.The data search took place through the databases through the search engines: Scientific Electronic Library, National Library of Medicine and Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences.They adopted as inclusion criteria: free articles, studies that approach physical therapy rehabilitation in post-COVID-19 adult patients, research published in the last 2 years and that were in Portuguese and English.Theses, monographs, integrative reviews were excluded.RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: After the bibliographic survey in the databases, 10 studies were obtained, soon after the application of the inclusion criteria, 5 studies remained that portrayed the chosen theme.It is important to emphasize that all the authors listed in this review benefited from physiotherapeutic protocols that consisted of strengthening, aerobic training and respiratory training, which indicated improvement in muscle strength, motor and cognitive function, performance of their ADLs, after a few weeks of treatment.CONCLUSION: Post Covid-19 rehabilitation has a beneficial influence on the initial stage of recovery from the disease, the protocols have shown positive impacts on muscle strength gain, improved resistance and performance of activities of daily living, and especially on respiratory function.
