The incidence of practical experience on the job profile of future public accountants prompted a reflection on the relevance of university accounting programs having immersive didactic strategies, with which they will develop productive skills in their students. The qualitative research, developed in Bogotá (Colombia), allowed the application of context hermeneutics, on interviews and surveys directed at the academic and organizational community, to understand relevant aspects related to the development of labor competencies. It was concluded that for an efficient appropriation of the skills of doing in accounting students, their involvement in real disciplinary scenarios is essential. The research proposed as a didactic strategy the deployment of university accounting consultancy towards community scenarios, with the objective that accountants practice their work skills from the academic stage.
