The incursion of information and communication technologies (ICT) has brought about several changes at a global level, which has generated a digital divide as a consequence of the accelerated digital transformation, generating problems of marginalization and inequality in vulnerable sectors of the population, especially in developing countries. The purpose of this work was to implement a teaching-learning methodology for the use of ICT focused on children and adolescents from vulnerable sectors of the city of Neiva. The educational process was developed with students between 7 and 15 years old linked to the children's shelter Mercedes Perdomo de Lievano belonging to localities of strata one and two of the city of Neiva. For the selection of the participants a non-probabilistic sampling was used together with an enrollment process, 71 participants were presented and the training began with a total of 54 of them.Data collection was performed by means of diagnostic and final tests, then the exploratory analysis was performed by applying data mining and machine learning techniques, in which the following variables were identified: word processing, operations with spreadsheets and digital presentations as the most representative to obtain a good qualification. With these results, the curriculum design was developed and then the pedagogical strategy was implemented. Finally, it was found that most of the students (81%) obtained a good grade in the final test, a situation that indicates that the training process achieved its objective.
