Myxomas are cardiac tumors originating in the mesenchymal cells of the heart, which represent between 30%-50% of primary cardiac tumors in the adult population.Despite the predominance in females, the presentation and diagnosis of cardiac myxomas during pregnancy are extremely rare, with surgical excision under extracorporeal circulation and cesarean delivery being the most recommended therapeutic strategies. We present the case of a 16-year-old patient who visits the emergency department due to the onset of labor, furters presents a pansystolic murmur on physical examination and a large intracavitary cardiac mass on transthoracic echocardiography, requiring cesarean section and cardiac surgery under extracorporeal circulation.
