The automation of manufacturing processes is widely used as a strategy to increase productivity in repetitive tasks and to improve safety in those with a high risk of accidents and non-ergonomic procedures. The design of this automated process presents the way to increase productivity and reduce the risk associated with the grinding task in an ax manufacturing company. As an instrument for measuring improvement, we have the comparison of: ergonomic evaluation, accident rate, new grinding development method and its productive capacity.
