The design and manufacture of an alkaline cell prototype to produce hydrogen realized successful. In this word proposed. This work explains the manufacturing processes. Once the cell built, different electrolytes of vegetable origin could evaluate. A comparative study conducted between three different electrolytes, two obtained from natural plant juices Aloe Vera and Fique. And another one was caustic soda, NaOH.Different properties such as weight percentage of NaOH, intensity of current in the anode and cathode, output voltage, volume of electrolyte in the cell, volume of displaced water, pH, and time studied. Finally, it concluded that the electrolyte that has better behavior and less damage to the cell is the one obtained based on Aloe Vera. That it allows the evaluation of electrolytes of plant origin as an alternative to minimize the environmental impact generated by traditional electrolytes that allow generating a friendly process with the environment. The research developed following an experimental model based on a quantitative analysis that implemented through practice between the knowledge generated towards electrolysis, the alkaline cells, the findings, and the solution to the problems presented during the evaluation of the original electrolytes and plant-based electrolytes.
