Considering that many Colombian pre-university students exhibit poor performance in social and natural sciences, and that this condition becomes a limitation when accessing higher education, this article presents an initiative for the development of two courses in the MOOC format to fulfill such a need. A brief description of the creation process of these courses is presented, as well as a report of the experience in the execution of an edition that was carried out in 2020 with about 500 students. Such an experience was highly successful not only in terms of those records, but also in the approval rates but, mainly, in the commitment of the students.
