This work wants to answer the question, ‘What is a fair job?' from a quantitative point of view, considering the changes on country's labor conditions, proposing the construction of an index to evaluate employment quality based on the structural conditions of Colombian legislation, comparing the years 2019, 2020, and 2021 for the 13 main cities and using data from the ‘Gran Encuesta Integrada de Hogares' (Great Integrated Household Survey) by the DANE (Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística, National Administrative Department of Statistics). For this, existing works in the literature will be reviewed, variables from pertinent databases will be selected, and the weight of each variable for the index will be estimated.
