This work undertakes the analysis of the impact of the exposure of people to electromagnetic fields generated by 5G-NR systems, as evaluated via Multi-Physics simulations. The scenarios analyzed are defined from actual usage conditions including user posture, location of the user equipment (UE) and the 5G base station (gNB), the field distribution required for the 5G network to satisfy the bit rate requirement, and relevant items in the environment. Simulations are carried out using Sim4Life to evaluate SAR and temperature increase at the tissue level in highly detailed anatomical models; the results of these simulations are assessed in light of the latest ICNIRP recommendation and expert physiological analysis of the resulting thermal rises.
