Firstly, the most representative Strategic Ecosystems in Colombia are conceptualized, emphasizing their conformation in terms of flora and fauna, benefits and threats to which they are exposed, presenting Wetlands, Páramos and Forests. Subsequently, the threats which were exposed before are represented taking into account Global Warming, Environmental Pollution, and Global Dimming, as well as the risks to which they are exposed due to human actions. Afterward, the third section describes the technologies that are presented as alternatives in favor of caring for the environment as strategies that will allow mitigating the effects of Global Warming, Environmental Pollution, and Global Dimming. In addition, the circular economy and the use of clean technologies and renewable energies are conceptualized. Finally, Environmental Education (EA) is proposed as a strategy that will allow the strengthening of a culture of caring for the environment, defining in this last section the incorporation of “On Care for Our Common Home”, promulgated by Pope Francis who claims for caring of the environment by the human being.
