EVALUACIÓN DEL COMPORTAMIENTO REPRODUCTIVO Y DETERMINACIÓN DE LA EDAD A LA PUBERTAD DE MACHOS Y HEMBRAS DE YAQUE (Leiarius marmoratus) BAJO CONDICIONES DE CAUTIVERIO
Phytopathogens of the genusFusarium are a current problem in crops, they reduce the normal growth of the plant and in early infections from the seed, they can cause seedling death.Organic acids have been shown to be capable of inhibiting the development of various microorganisms. For this reason, the objective of this work was to test acetic or lactic acids on in vitro radial growth of a strain of Fusarium sp. and evaluate its effect on the germination of four vegetable species. The experiment consisted of four plant varieties of vegetables subjected to treatments in sterile distilled water: glacial acetic acid 0.05% and 0.1%; lactic acid 0.5% and 1% and only water as a control, after three days of germination, germinated seeds were counted and their roots length measured. To assess radial growth inhibition, portions of the fungal culture were placed in petri dishes containing ADS medium plus organic acid treatments. The data confirm the fungicidal capacity of organic acids, showing the highest percentage of inhibition with Lactic Acid at 1.0%.In addition, the germination test showed favoring the percentage of germination and seedling growth on tomato Cherry specie.Based on our analysis, the 0.1% Acetic Acid treatment proved to be the most effective alternative to protect the seedling from being attacked by Fusaruim sp.
