Before any treatment of sewage or industrial effluent, for which it is required to handle different chemical products and the due control, it is necessary to measure what is going to be treated and controlled. Without primary measurement, there can be no effective control. Domestic wastewater, also called sewage, is collected by its own networks, interconnected to a common trunk network that take the sewage to a treatment station, STS, (Sewage Treatment Station). The treatment of sewage before being discharged into the environment, such as streams, rivers, lakes, etc., needs to be treatment. Likewise, industrial effluents produced in industries can be treated by the company that generated it, reusing it, or sending its effluent to a large STS of a specific company that will carry out the proper treatment, adapting the waste for an emission into the environment according to the standards supervised by local government laws.
