This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: To examine the existing randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to compare the effect of general, sedation/analgesia, regional or paracervical block anaesthetic techniques used to perform a surgical evacuation of incomplete miscarriage on perceived patient satisfaction, postoperative pain, maternal mortality and side effects.
