The purpose of this book is to present some of the internal factors and influencing the development of the polygraph test. The theoretical framework is based on proposals raised in theories of mind, competences emotional, behavioral and defense mechanisms. As methodology is defined the qualitative approach to research, under the grounded theory design taking into account that the polygraphic field presents few theoretical developments; As instruments for collecting information, the questionnaires sent via email to polygraph staff with extensive experience in the exercise of their profession and the documentary review of reports developed by them. In the main result, it is stated that there are internal and external factors in the polygraph test, which, although knowledge of polygraphists, when generating an adequate management they can somehow affect the results of this, so it is important to conceptualization from the theory of factors and define strategies from the experience of polygraphists to counteract them. In conclusion, it is necessary recognize internal and external factors that may occur in development of the polygraph test, in such a way that they can be counteracted in their developing.
