This work is the result of pedagogical practice conducted in 2009 at the National Pedagogical Institute.In order to identify the social representations RS of 601 students on insect-environment relationship, and there, to see its relevance in the educational process, specifically in the field of biology.We performed a qualitative approach and descriptive-interpretative, using tools such as observation, interviews, drawings, images and playful workshops.Organizing information obtained under the constant comparative method (CCM).After investigation, it was found that the study of SR in educational spaces are concerned not only with systematic learning and conceptual knowledge that the teacher works in class, but with the possibility of addressing other areas not so formal in individuals come together also with all of its representations (Fernandez & Hernandez, 2005).Thus allowing little known aspects addressed in the educational process, and definitely extends the working field of biology.
