This article provides a synthesis of the research study, funded by Fundación Compartir, conducted to systematize experiences as well as research and innovation projects, which were entries to compete for the prize COMPARTIR in social science editions 2000-2012. The main results are presented highlighting the objectives teachers formulate for their field, the purpose of the experiences and the learning processes. The implications of the results on educational policy and on teaching practices are also addressed.
