We evaluated the imaging and clinical data of four males and one female with rhinocerebral mucormycosis. Two had diabetes mellitus and four immunocompromised states. The MRI signal was isointense to brain in four cases, hypointense in one case. Gadolinium enhancement was variable, absent in two cases, mild in one, and marked in two. The noncontrast CT density, compared to muscle, was isodense in three cases and hyperdense in one case. Of the five cases, two survived. The anatomic/surgical correlation will also be presented.
