The research group E-Virtual from the Universidad de Medellinhas been working on the implementation of bimodal coursessince six years ago. In 2009, with the support of the Ministery ofNational Education (MEN), it was implemented the non-face-tofaceclass modality with a virtual methodology in the pedagogicframework of the University. This new activities took the groupto think about the didactic and pedagogic characteristics thatshould be considered when face-to-face and virtual educationare combined. To achieve this, we asked lectures and studentsabout the perception of this new methodology. The data wascollected by combining qualitative and quantitative methods. Asa result, we obtained an introductory process, communicativeinteractions, virtual learning objects, and clues about the use ofthe platform. In this paper we provide the preliminary results ofour study, emphasizing on the positive aspects, and the aspectsto improve.
