The practice of child psychotherapy in Japan is not new.In a true scientific sense, however, it would not be overstated to say that the study began in late years and it has been making remarkable progress.This is especially true in the study of play therapy.These facts will be observed clearly if we compare the date of following Table 1 with Tables 2 and3 which relate to the use of other psychotherapeutic methods for children (e.g.psychodrama, parent's counseling, conditioned reflex method, etc.) and for adults.Table I.
