In an unstable environment, amid a global crisis, creativity and innovation still remain as effective tools for local development. Tourism was strongly affected by COVID-19 due to the severe restrictions on travel imposed as a security measure, but it is an actor capable of promoting development in the territories. For this reason, it is beginning to take on a special role in destinations that wish to bet on local idiosyncrasies as a path towards sustainable tourism based on local resources. In this sense, the orange economy is presented as a tool that, together with tourism, offers the necessary instruments to enhance the value of the locals. This chapter presents the Orange Cluster Initiative for the State of Boyacá, Colombia focused on the tourism sector. It is concluded that orange tourism can become a recovery of post-COVID-19 tourism, serving as an element of sustainable union between local agents, tourists, and the environment.
