Background: There is a discussion about the quality and duration of immunity elicited by SARS-CoV-2 infection, including the possibility of disease recurrence. Objective: To present the case of a patient with strong clinical evidence of clinical recurrence due to COVID-19.Material and methods: Case report describing the timeline and positive laboratory tests in three different periods of time for COVID-19 infection. Results: The patient presented three clinical recurrences of infection by the new coronavirus (Table 1).Conclusions: The possibility of recurrence should be analyzed in patients who have a positive PCR test performed after 90 days after the initial infection, however this window period is still under discussion. It is documented that the severity of the symptoms could be necessary to be able to produce antibodies against SARS-CoV-2.
