Daily human activities create waste, and it is the way these wastes are handled, stored, collected and disposed of, which can pose a risk to the environment, in addition in this area hazardous waste incinerator was found, as a result, it was been generated great concern to the surrounding community, because of many wastes are disposal in it, and second of the odours and others gases producer in it. According to it, we inquire about the environmental perceptions across an ethnographic survey of eleven families in the area Los Angeles landfill in Neiva-Huila. As a result, we evidence that people know the problem, mainly gases emitted from incinerator chimney, the odours, particles of air, but they do not know a possible relationship in odours and a risk of health, present in symptoms such as headache, sickness, among others
