Abstract:

The main objective of this work was to design an interpretative ecological path as a pedagogic strategy that promotes the knowledge about birds and the Jaboque wetland defense; it was supported by a educative source (illustrated guide) of the more common bird species that live there, and it was made mainly by the local community.For that reason it was carried out semistructured interviews and meetings with the surrounding people in order to try to do recognition of the knowledge and experiences about the wetlands and the birds, and thus try to incorporate their contribution to the present work.The interpretative path has eight stations in which are proposed a set of complementary activities that pretend encourage the attitude and values mobilization in relation to wetlands and to birds trough the approach of situations that stimulate the formulation of questions that let us think this natural place since a conservation perspective.Also, it includes aspects related to wetlands, its formation, its conservation state, and the birds in general.This material is proposed as a strategy to encourage as the participation of the local community in the elaboration of similar works as to enjoy from spaces that offer the opportunity to observe and appreciate the birds biological diversity and the others wetland's organisms in order to seek attitude changes focused to make conscious decisions and concrete actions in the avifauna defense and the ecosystems where these inhabit.
