Background: Pseudo-melanomas are a group of pathologies that can mimic melanoma. A retinal hemorrhagic macrocyst is a rare condition that can mimic choroidal melanoma. Diagnosing it accurately is important because of the difference in prognosis and treatment. Ocular ultrasound can be used to help differentiate between these similar conditions. Case presentation: We present a patient with a choroidal pseudo-melanoma diagnosed accurately and on time with the aid of an ocular ultrasound.
