Evaluation of mechanical influence of different methods of encapsulation of bacillus subtilis bacteria in the manufacture of self-healing concrete - Systematic literature review
This paper presents the results obtained from a systematic review of the literature guided by the search for the mechanical affectation of some bacterial encapsulation methods in the manufacture of self-healing concrete. The results obtained showed that the encapsulation methods, besides providing protection and prolonging the useful life of the bacteria, also generate benefits to the mechanical properties of the concrete, highlighting the results found with the implementation of natural fibers (coir, flax and jute), since they were the encapsulation materials that obtained the best results in increasing the compressive strength of concrete.
