This work proposed a control strategy based on artificial neural networks, that regulates the output voltage of a DC-DC Forward converter. This artificial neural network (ANN) has a coefficient of inertia that modifies the learning rate during training. Besides, it works in parallel with the converter, allowing it to adapt to current system variations, in this case, the alteration of the load resistance. Also, the training parameters are modified and how they affect the learning of the training is documented, and the simulations ran in MATLAB/Simulink.
