This manuscript applies the AC conventional transmission and the high voltage DC transmission (HVDC) as a hybrid energy transmission method in the microgrids (MG). The HVDC method improves global efficiency, decreases the cooper losses, and prevents harmonics and skin effects over the wire. The proposed topology to implement this HVDC bus is the modular multilevel converter M2C. Virtually, his topology can elevate the voltage to any value decreasing the losses drastically. Also, using this DC link would eliminate some converters required to coupling with an AC grid.
