The kidnapping of children and young people has been a scourge that unfortunately has affected our society for a considerable time due to gangs and armed groups' complex criminal behavior to profit or obtain a common benefit. In each part of our country, there has been a constant search for processes focused on recovering freedom for those who have suffered kidnapping, which involves costs, support personnel, and time invested by the different control entities in charge. This research hopes to contribute to reducing crime rates. This project also contributes to a better understanding of one of the most common problems faced by society. It highlights how technology and the development of its applications can help minimize risks identified as kidnapping. The project is based on a LoRaWAN network prototype, which seeks to offer, through a mobile platform, an anti-kidnapping alternative, which allows to control and monitor the location of an individual in real-time, preserving the life dignity and integrity of the children, youth, and their families. A descriptive and exploratory research methodology is used while the actual prototype is implemented. The project phases follow the guidelines defined by the top-down methodology for network design. As a result, it is expected to implement the prototype designed since the values obtained in a simulated environment are encouraging.
