<b>Introduction:</b> Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is associated with physical, emotional and social limitation, thus compromising their health-related quality of life (HRQOL), increasing their levels of anxiety and depression, for which an educational component is essential in everything Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program (RP) attended by patients with COPD <b>Aim:</b> To describe the effect of two PR programs based on individual and group education in patients with COPD <b>Material and methods:</b> Longitudinal prospective study in two PR programs. Patients with COPD divided into two groups were selected for convenience; one where PR with individual education (RPEI) was applied and another where PR with individual education plus group (RPEGI) was performed <b>Results:</b> 48 patients were admitted, mainly male, with a mean of 71.6 years ± 9.9 years.
