This paper focuses on the local authority systems in the micro-political contexts using a case study of the armed conflict in Colombia. The paper attempts to trace expressions of these systems of authority in some of the forms of organization present in scenarios where the Colombian armed conflict left the most emblematic consequences. Moreover, it sets a blueprint for the future empirical research that will complement the theoretical provisions with the field data.
