Spanish Abstract: La labor pedagógica se enfrenta a múltiples dificultades cuando aborda el fenómeno de la lectura y las diferentes habilidades que esta implica. En este artículo argumentamos que la música y sus características inciden en el aprendizaje gracias a su estrecha relación con las emociones y la memoria. Luego mostraremos cómo la emoción y la memoria también son componentes fundamentales en el proceso de lectura e interpretación, llegando así a una convergencia entre el lenguaje y la música. Basados en lo anterior proponemos una estrategia didáctica por medio de las letras de canciones para la enseñanza-aprendizaje de la lectura y sus niveles. Finalmente, describiremos la experiencia de intervención exploratoria realizada en la Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios.English Abstract: The pedagogical work faces multiple difficulties when approached the phenomenon of reading skills and its different levels. In this article, we argue that music and its properties influence learning because of the close relationship between emotions and memory. Then we will show how emotion and memory are also fundamental components in the reading and interpretation process, thus reaching a convergence between language and music. Based on this information, we propose a didactic teaching-learning strategy through the lyrics for the reading skills in its different levels. Finally, we will describe the exploratory intervention experience of this proposal made at the Universidad Minuto de Dios.
