Introduction: Covid-19 caused great impacts on the physical and mental structure of the general population, leading many to the onset of Generalized Anxiety Disorder; Objective: to identify, through integrative research, the studies carried out on the development of generalized anxiety disorder in the population in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: this is an integrative literature review, obtained through studies published in databases of the Scientific Electronic Electronic Library Online Latin American Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences. Results: eight articles published between 2017 and 2020 were selected. Three categories were created to analyze the study. They showed that the covid-19, given all its implications, contributes to the individual's mental health instability, due to the identification of the problems faced by the population in facing the pandemic; Conclusion: Generalized Anxiety Disorder is a chronic disease that has excessive characteristics of anxiety, requiring resolutive measures to solve the presented parameters.
