Abstract This work presents the development of an algorithm for sign language alphabet recognition Colombian in images, using the deep learning technique. For this, a data set consisting of each letter of the alphabet from A up to Z and a total of 4043 images with a resolution of 150×150 pixels of 3 channels, a red neural was built convolutional with 256 layers, with an accuracy of 75%.
