This study presents a quantitative analysis of those entering higher education from law 12.711/ 2012 and the wide competition approved at the Universidade Federal do Acre (UFAC).The object of the analysis is the freshmen of 2013, the year in which the aforementioned law comes into force at the Universities and Federal Institutes.The purpose is to correlate quota holders with the four selected axes, namely: dropouts, retired, trained and retained.The focus is on demonstrating how this impacts on the universe of course participants in this first wave of quota students.The methodological framework has input from Marconi and Lakatos (2017), while the theoretician is based on Pizza (2011).
