This work presents a proposal to integrate Significant Learning model and Project-Based STEM Education - PBL through the development of an Autonomous Intelligent Drone. Lessons learned from this experience can be used to guide the work of different work groups, especially the Research Seedbeds. In the future, it is expected that this proposal can be taken into account in the design of study plans for the different subjects in an Engineering Faculty. On the other hand, the new model stimulates in students the development of valuable skills in innovation and technology-based entrepreneurship, so important for the scientific and technological development of Latin America.
