In 2015, the member states of the United Nations approved the 2030 Agenda, which contains 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Number 7 (SDG-7) proposes “to guarantee access to affordable, safe, sustainable and modern energy for all”. In this sense, this research seeks to carry out a study of the progress and challenges that Colombia faces in meeting the goals of the SDG-7. The methodology used is of a documentary type, based on the comparative, critical and reflective analysis of data on the progress and future perspectives of Colombia for the fulfillment of the goals.
