As computers become more powerful today, they also become an important means to analyze data and perform simulations of theoretical models and complex systems, just by setting up different scenarios, varying some parameters, and allowing their execution. Simulation is a tool employed for theoretical and empirical research. When a theoretical model is instantiated and simulated, the output data generated can be considered as a hypothesis, which produces the starting point for an experimental process and also creates a foundation to make operational decisions before a real implementation.
