Introduction: Primary skull base melanoma (PSBM) is a rare tumor thought to arise from the leptomeninges's melanocytes. Metastatic melanoma is already uncommon, nevertheless fewer cases of primary melanoma involving the central nervous system (CNS) have been reported. It is even rarer to find a unique extracranial compromise of a primary leptomeningeal melanoma (PLM) extending to the skull base. We report a new case.
